Is this kind of similar to the concept used in optical flow tracking (eg. Lucas-Kanade method)? Or am I getting mixed up?

We'll definitely be covering optical flow later in the course! One big difference is that detecting corners involves a single image, whereas optical flow requires multiple images (a video sequence).
